Kevin J. Oldham
1979-2014 SHAFTSBURY Kevin Joseph Oldham, 35 a resident of Shaftsbury passed away peacefully Sunday evening, March 16, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Kevin was born in Bennington on February 10, 1979 to Thomas J. Oldham and Veronica Johnson Oldham. He grew up in Bennington where he attended Molly Stark School and graduated from Mt. Anthony Union High School. Throughout his 35 years, Kevin touched many lives and served as an inspiration to many, even those whom he never met. He had a love of music, he enjoyed being with people especially going for car rides, going out to eat, taking walks and visits to the duck pond. He enjoyed snuggling and being read to surrounded by his numerous stuffed animals. Kevin will be remembered for his beautiful smile and his contagious belly laugh. He leaves his mother, Veronica Oldham of Shaftsbury; father, Thomas J. Oldham of Bennington; grandmothers, Caroline Oldham and Kathie LaMare, both of Bennington; brothers, Christopher Oldham and Amanda Shakar of Bennington, Zack Oldham of Pownal, Joel Oldham and his sons, Kevin's nephews, Skyler and Travis of Wilmington, Buddy Oldham of New Hampshire, Brandon Daigneault and Elaina Lapine of Windsor; sister, Meghan Daigneault and fiance, Josh Blair, of Cohoes, N.Y.; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and caregiver and family friend, Brigit Andrews. He was predeceased by a brother, Jake Oldham, in 1978 and grandfather, LeRoy Oldham. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at the HANSON WALBRIDGE SHEA FUNERAL HOME with Reverend Gary Rogers, pastor of the Pownal Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. when the family will be present.
