Norma A. Cimini

1933 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Norma A. Cimini, 80, of 163 Maple Grove Drive, Pittsfield, passed away quietly in her sleep, on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. She was born in West Stockbridge on Sep. 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Dominic and Maria Passetti Ferrari, and attended schools in West Stockbridge. In February of 1951, she married the "love of her life" Alfred A. Cimini Sr. who passed away April 19, 2010. She was employed by Cimini's Market in Lenox, owned by her son Reno and his wife, Maureen Cimini, and most recently was employed as the bookkeeper at Cim's Tavern, owned by her two sons, Michael and Richard Cimini. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and was a former member of the Sons of Italy, Itam Lodge #564 of Pittsfield. She enjoyed going to horse races at Saratoga with her husband, watching Yankee baseball and golf tournaments. Her great cooking was appreciated by all her family, neighbors, and friends, but what she loved most of her life was her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She took great pride in her family. She leaves her four sons, Alfred A. Cimini Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Pittsfield, Reno and his wife, Maureen, of Glendale, Ariz., Michael and his wife, Sandy, of Pittsfield, Richard of Pittsfield and his companion, Michelle Dillon; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Florence Colagiacomo, Delia Placido, Clara Kiethler, and Gloria Stanisz. Norma was predeceased by her sister, Emma, and brother, Anthony. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Norma A. Cimini will take place Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 ELM St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, with the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, Pastor of St. Ann's Church in Lenox, MA officiating. Calling Hours at the funeral home will be Monday, April 7, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the in care of the funeral home.
