1926 - 2014 HINSDALE Jennie D. Baumann, 88, beloved wife, mother, and nonnie, formerly of Longview Ave. in Hinsdale, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dalton, March 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia Casella De Angelus. She was a graduate of the former Dalton High School. She was a secretary at Crane and Co. for 22 1/2 years, retiring in 1991. She had also worked at G.E. Plastics during WWII. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church and enjoyed being home and spending time with her family. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary and was a Boston Red Sox fan. She is survived by her two daughters, Bette Williams and her husband, Jim, of Naples, Fla., and Nancy Knauth and her husband, Paul, of Hinsdale; a son, James Baumann Jr. and his wife, Anne, of Pittsfield; a brother, Louis (GiGi) DeAngelus of Rome, Ga.; a sister, Dolores Amuso of St. Petersburg, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Bethany Williams, Mathew Williams, Kellie Baumann, Kristen Baumann, Lori Beal and her husband, Jason, Benjamin Knauth his wife, Carrrie, and Michael Knauth; four great-grandchildren, Colin Beal, Marissa Dickhaus, Jacob Knauth and Nora Beal, many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Ginger Weber, Didi Rudd, Theresa Quillard, Judy Goetze, Stephanie Parkington, and Helen Came. She was predeceased by her husband, James R. Baumann Sr., whom she married April 26, 1947, and who died Aug. 26, 2012; six brothers, Anthony, Angelo, Freddy, Archie, John, and Charlie DeAngelus, and two sisters, Ethel "Dolly" Dixon and Loretta DeFonte. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Jennie D. Baumann, 88, who died Sunday, April 6, 2014, will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Dalton, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Hinsdale. Calling hours will be at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME Dalton, on Wednesday from 5 to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care in The Berkshires, in care of the funeral home, 890 Main St. 01226.
