1979 2014 ADAMS Christopher James Corkins, 34, of 12 East Orchard Terrace, died on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at his home. He was born in Pittsfield on June 7, 1979, a son of James R. and Debra Corkins and Pamela Guettler Bissaillon and her husband, David, of Adams. He attended schools in Adams. Chris last worked for TOG Manufacturing in North Adams. Earlier he had worked for T&A Tool, Adams. He was a communicant of the Parish of Blessed John Paul, Adams. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Yankees. He had been an umpire for the Adams Little League and Adams Babe Ruth League. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and other sports memorabilia. Besides his parents of Adams he is survived by one son, Ethan Corkins of Clarksburg; his maternal grandmother, Patricia Guettler of Adams, with whom he made his home; and his other grandparents, Thomas and Doris Koehler and Marjorie Bissaillon, all of Adams; two sisters, Lisa Corkins of Williamstown and Amy Swistak-Williams and her husband, Jon, of Lyman, S.C.; three brothers, Trevor Swistak and his wife, Angela, of Cheshire, Corey Swistak and his wife, Heather, of Cheshire and Tyler Bissaillon of Adams; two nephews, Jacob and Zachary Swistak of Cheshire; his best friend, Scott Biron; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 12, at 12:00 NOON in the Parish Church of Blessed John Paul, Adams, celebrated by Rev. John Gawienowski. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.
