Mark D. Robertson
1952-2014 PITTSFIELD Mark Diehl Robertson, 61, of 70 Lakeview Street, died Monday, April 21, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on May 8, 1952, the son of Winthrop D. and Vera Mae Veasey Robertson, he attended Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and Berkshire Community College. At the time of his death, Mr. Robertson was retired from Dresser-Hull Lumber in Lee where he was a salesman in Commercial Sales for Contracting Supplies. He had previously worked for Lumber Town, Harrington's, and Hastings. Mark enjoyed music and was a drummer for the bands, Gad Zooks and Quick Fox. He also enjoyed playing golf and doing home improvements. Mr. Robertson's wife, the former Sandra J. Hajjar, whom he married May 3, 1991, died July 18, 2010. Mr. Robertson is survived by a brother, Andrew Robertson, of Pittsfield; a sister, Carol A. Cook, of Topton, Pa.; a nephew, Alex Cook; and two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Hajjar and Joanie A. Hajjar Bartlett. Mr. Robertson is also survived by four nephews, Matthew Cormier and his wife, Leslie, and two daughters, Genevieve and Giselle, Christopher Cormier, Erick Bartlett, and Trevor Bartlett and his wife, Julie.FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mark Diehl Robertson will be held Saturday, April 26, at 1 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield with Rev. Douglas B. Neiner, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, officiating. Calling hours will precede the service beginning at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
