Lydia H. Huda

1948 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Ms. Lydia H. Kopchynsky Huda, 65, of 19 Commonwealth Ave., Pittsfield, died June 9, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Tyrol, Austria, Oct. 27, 1948, the daughter of Mrs. Julia Korytko Kopchynsky. She came to this country as a young girl, was educated in the New York City Catholic schools, and came to live in the Berkshires in 1973. She was employed as a Day Habilitation Specialist with Berkshire County Arc for the past 22 years. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Julia K. Kopchynsky of Manhattan, N.Y.; her three daughters, Kristina Huda-Dimen and her husband, Claro, of Rhode Island, Kathryn Huda of Williamsburg, Va., and Halena Huda-Gill and her husband, Timothy A. Gill, of Pittsfield; her brother, Myron Kopchynsky and his wife, Luba, of Skaneateles, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Ashley Madison Dimen and a grandson, Matthew Tyler Dimen. Roman Huda, her former husband, died Jan. 12, 2005. FUNERAL NOTICE: Huda, Lydia, H., 65, died June 9. Calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be WEDNESDAY 4 to 7 p.m.. A Divine Liturgy will be held Thursday morning at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Janush Jedrychowski at a time to be announced. Burial will follow in Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Hamptonburg, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to BCArc in care of the funeral home.
