Joan Marie Lillie
1935 - 2014 ADAMS Joan Marie (Jamros) Lillie, 79, of 13 Meadow St., passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2014, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, with her family by her side. She was born in Hartford, Conn., on March 3, 1935, the daughter of the late Francis and Ella (Geisler) Jamros. Joan was primarily a homemaker but had worked for many years for the former Adams Laundry. She enjoyed reading, collecting and sewing. She is survived by her loving family, one son, Leo Fortier, III and his wife Anne of Peru; four daughters, Susan Randall of Adams and her partner, Larry Dragon, of Cheshire, Ruth Fortier of New Bedford, and Helen Fortier and Chantel Lillie, both of Adams; one brother, James Jamros of Adams; six grandchildren, Sabrina Fortier and her husband Peter, Devan and Savannah Randall, Bradley Briggs, Brandi Fortier and Heather Bond; five great-grandchildren and her dear friends, Barb Casuscelli and Ted Richards. She also leaves her beloved cat, Beaner. She was predeceased by her daughter, Joan Fortier, and by her brother, John Jamros. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services and burial will be private for the family. There are no calling hours.
