I am deeply sorry for your loss. Bishop Wissermann confirmed me into the Episcople reglion on the same day he baptized my son. WHat a wonderful experience that was ., I also heard him give a sermon one day at the Catherdral in Springfield for the annual InGathering., He had such a spirtual glow around him that day and I know it was the spirit of Christ with him. I was in awe of him that day and every day since., Never had I seen anything like that before nor since. I Know he is with God keeping comfort in Heaven.

I joined St.Stephen's church, as a teenager because of then Reverend Wissemann. He brought me into the fold and my family followed suit and joined as well. Kind and smiling always . . . I loved that he allowed all the kids to call him "Uncle Andy". My condolences and prayers go out to Mrs. Wissemann and family. Rest in Peace Bishop Wissemann.

I grew up in St. Barnabas and All Saint's Church in Springfield, and thought Bishop Wissemann was like a second grandfather. He was so kind and always had a smile and words of encouragement for me. God bless you, Bishop Wissemann!

Father Wissemann was a compass to me as a young teenager, his words spoke to me. I had the pleasure of being in his church at a time when I needed it the most. He will be missed. Thanks for being my light in the dark. May your family find peace in knowing he was loved and revered.

Bishop Wissemann was a wonderful friend to my parents and a kind, wise soul to the Bement Camp family in the 1980s and 1990s. It was an honor to have been confirmed by him, and to have known him. All best, Katie DeBonville

My deepest condolences to Nancy and Bishop Wissemann's family. I was so fortunate to have met and worked with the Wissemanns, as their realtor, so soon after the loss of my wife. It was truly comforting to be with them at that time and I know that Andy's many friends will be as comforting to Nancy and Bishop Wissemann's family as they were to me. Andy, I wish you well as you continue your spiritual journey.

I am so sorry for the family's loss. Growing up I was friends with Bishop Wissemann's daughter Anne. He performed our wedding ceremony in my parents' front yard. And we still have the "loving mugs" that he gave us that day. Our thoughts are with you.
