Edith E. (Shephard) Goodermote

1919 - 2015 NORTH ADAMS Edith E. (Shephard) Goodermote, 95, of 243 State Street, died on Thursday April 30, at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born on June 30, 1919 in Fort Edward, N.Y. a daughter of the late Alfred and Vitaline (Boyer) Shephard. Edith was a homemaker and also worked at Hunter Outdoor Products. She attended the First Baptist Church in North Adams. She was the widow of Franklin H. Goodermote Sr. who died on January 18, 1976. They were married on February 13, 1937 in Berlin, N.Y. Survivors include two daughters, Isabelle Harwood of Savoy, Mass., and Anna Rose Bates of Hinsdale, Mass.. Edith also leaves seven sons, Franklin H. Goodermote Jr. of North Adams, Norman Goodermote of Monroe, Mass., Harold Goodermote of Wales, Mass., James Goodermote of Lumberton, N.C., Jerry Goodermote of North Adams, Thomas Goodermote of North Adams, and Albert Gooder-mote of Becket, Mass. She also leaves several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son and two daughters, Alfred Goodermote, Virginia Goodermote, and Ida May Blanche Goodermote; and four brothers, and four sisters are deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in North Adams, Mass. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams, Mass.
