Beatrice Scholz Shepard
1925 - 2015 ALFORD Beatrice Scholz Shepard, 90, a longtime resident of West Road passed away November 15, 2015 at Timberlyn Heights Nursing Home in Great Barrington. A native and lifelong resident of the area Beatrice was born March 9, 1925 at the family home in West Stockbridge, the daughter of Warner and Doris (Tucker) Scholz. She attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Williams High School in Stockbridge. Primarily a homemaker Beatrice enjoyed going to tag sales. She was a former member of the Alford Garden Club. Mrs. Shepard is survived by her son, Gary M. Shepard of Alford, MA and her daughter, Lynn S. Fitzgerald of Windsor, CT. She also leaves her sister, Jean Roots of Lenoxdale, MA and her grandchildren, Ruth, David and Erin Shepard and Andrew Fitzgerald. She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 60 years, Merrill A. Shepard who died on August 29, 2007. The couple was married on November 22, 1947 in West Stockbridge, MA. In accordance with her wishes there were no services. Donations in memory of Beatrice S.
