Like Judy S, I too have the fondest memories of the Chilson boys at First Baptist, singing in the youth choirs, especially. The recent death of another North Adams classmate led me to wonder and think fondly of Eddie and Larry, and I was so shocked to hear of his death. He was an admirable and likeable child, and it seems those characteristics carried into adulthood, To the whole family, I am so very sorry for your loss.

Ed was one of my dearest friends and colleagues. He was truly an outstanding individual, with high moral and personal standards. He was a highly intelligent man. Ed was fair. He loved his family most of all. We spoke last week and he talked so lovingly of his wonderful and talented daughter, Ester. I loved Ed. He was a great teacher and a unique friend. His passing is a profound loss to all who knew him.

I am so sorry to see this. My cousin, Bill Windover had made a Face Book post offering prayers...and then I found this. I grew up with the three Chilson boys at First Baptist Church...so firstly, to Larry and David I send special sympathy and comfort to you and all of the family. Our mothers sang together in the choir for many many years. And I loved your Uncle Herbie too. To Ed's daughter, friends and extended families, I wish peace and love....as you grieve this loss of one gone too soon.

I was very saddened to learn of Ed's passing. I recall fondly our childhood experiences in scouting and playing with him and his family in visits to my aunt Margeriette Peters' house. Ed taught me a great deal about fairness and honesty and I enjoyed knowing the wonderful Chilson family. My sincere sympathy to them during this difficult time.

Lyn and family, I was so surprised to hear of Ed's passing. I remember Eddie as a kid when Esther babysat Kurt and me. I got to know him as an adult when he was a patient at Dr. Moresi's and he worked on Main Street. Our conversations were always with smiles. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Kathy
