LEROY-- Keith King Cooper, of LeRoy, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital. He was 91.

He was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Alma, to Grant and Inza (King) Cooper, and was a 1944 graduate of Clarkston High School. Keith was drafted into the United States Army in 1944 and served his country honorably until his separation from the Army in 1946.

On July 1, 1948, he was married in Clarkston to Patricia Jean Linard, who survives him after 70 years of marriage. He was employed from 1950 to 1969 as a truck driver delivering local freight in the Pontiac area before moving to the LeRoy area, where he owned and operated a dairy farm from 1969 to 1980. Mr. Cooper worked for many years at the Kettunen Center near Tustin supervising the maintenance of the property and also for the Rose Lake Youth Camp during the summer months. He enjoyed being in nature, fixing things, completing projects and controlling the television remote.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cooper; children, Michael Cooper, Leslee (Marvin) Austin and Mark (Kelle) Cooper; sister, Nancy Finn; grandchildren, Hannah Bernal-Cooper, Ryan (Lindsay) Austin, Marvalee Dyer, Luke (Jesi) Austin, Drew Austin, Taylor Cooper, Cameron Cooper and Lance Cooper; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Inza Cooper; and brother, Garrett Cooper.

There will be private services held with his grandsons Ryan and Luke Austin officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in his name to the Rose Lake Youth Camp.
