Annabel Garcia Obituary
Annabel Dutchover Garcia, 90, of Big Spring passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends Friday, April 1, 2016 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 9 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born Sept. 26, 1925 in Fort Davis, Texas to Maria Josephina Dominguez Dutchover and Louis Dutchover. She was raised in Fort Davis and came to Big Spring in 1942, marrying David M. Garcia in 1945. He preceded her in death March 3, 1981. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, but co-owned and worked along side her husband at John-Anna Upholstery.
Annabel is survived by seven sons: David Garcia of Shreveport, Felipe Garcia and wife Angelia of Big Spring, Ernest Garcia of Teague, Paul Dutchover Garcia and wife Estella of San Antonio, George Garcia and wife Yolanda of Midland, Robert Garcia and wife Denise of Carlsbad, N.M. and Larry Garcia and wife Cynthia of Big Spring; two daughters: Dolores Hernandez and Susan Blazewski and husband Larry of Chicago, Ill.; one son-in-law Kenneth Thorp of Abilene; thirty seven grandchildren: Debbie, Cindy, Ricky, Amanda, Micheal and Jason of Shreveport, Mary Lou Garcia of Houston, Laura Ann Fierro of Big Spring, Theodore Hernandez, Jr., Caroline Larez, Felicia Valencia, Elizabeth Alvarez, Randy, Robert, Joshua Hernandez, Felipe Balzewski, Micheal Vanis, Felipe, Jr., all of Big Spring; Angie Renninger of Easton, PA, Jason Garcia of San Antonio, Earnie Jr., Jacob Garcia of Big Spring, Paul Jr Garcia, Amy Lynn Garcia, George Anthony Garcia, Stefaine Gentry of Midland, Robert Ryan, Haley and Evan Garcia, Desiree Thorp of Abilene, Ariel Becks of San Antonio, Justin Thorp, Larry Jr, ,Kristopher Eric Garcia, Tabytha Nikole and Emly Kay Garcia; one sister: Mary Dutchover Sandovel and husband Raymundo of Fort Worth.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Antonio Fierro; one daughter Lucy Garcia Thorp; two grandsons: Mikey Garcia and David Edward Garcia; one granddaughter: Gwendolyn Martinez; four brothers: Felipe Dutchover, Frank Dutchover, Roberto Dutchover and Richard Lee Dutchover; three sisters: Dorine Dutchover, Margie Perez and Nina Alamazan;; one son-in-law: Theodore Hernandez.
Pallbearers will be: Larry Garcia, Robert Garcia, George Garcia, Paul Garcia, Felipe Garcia and Jacob Garcia.
