Duffy Yancey, 40, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at his residence. The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church, with Rev. Ronnie Newton and Rev. Elwin Collom officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.|
He was born Oct. 4, 1975 to Susie and Darrell Yancey. He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. He was a very active and faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He attended and helped with all church activities including the choir, Christmas programs and services and vacation bible school. Duffy loved wrestling, fishing, hunting, traveling and watching any sport or other activity of his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his parents: Darrell and Susie Yancey; one brother: Darrell W. Yancey and wife Cheryl of Yukon, Okla.; three sisters: Sissy Franklin and husband Odis of Coahoma; Tammy Griffith and husband Jody of Coahoma; Mitzi Hicks and husband Dustin of Paragould, Ark.; eleven nieces and nephews and three great nieces and nephews.
