Francine Minelle Jansch, 81, of Big Spring, passed away peacefully on Feb. 12, 2016. Services for Francine will be Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Big Spring, Texas, of which she was a devoted and beloved member with graveside services to follow at Coahoma Cemetery. Her family will receive visitors on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Myers & Smith Funeral Home in Big Spring, Texas. |
She was born on Nov. 10, 1934 in Big Spring, Texas to Dilworth and Nellie Thompson. She was a proud member of the Big Spring High School Class of 1953. She also attended Howard College and graduated with her LVN license. She nursed at Cowper's Hospital, Hall Bennett Hospital, Bennett House, and Malone and Hogan Clinic. After nursing she spent the next twenty years working for herself and with her husband at antique shows and flea markets. On August 25, 1967 she married the love of her life, David Jansch. In her later years she would accompany her husband to work every day and work beside him.
She was very strong in her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she passed this on to her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and her presence will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, David Jansch of Big Spring; her daughters, Judy Cook, of San Diego, Cali. and Diane Jonas, of Kyle, Texas; her sons Mike Pruitt and wife Kathy, of Caddo, Okla. and Tracy Pruitt and wife Pat, of Pasadena, Texas; and a very special granddaughter that she raised as one of her daughters, Krystal Currie of San Angelo, Texas. She is also survived by two sisters, Leta Kirby and Carol Aziz, and her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Ned Crandall, of Big Spring, Texas. She is also survived by six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dilworth and Nellie Thompson; her daughter, Cynthia Smith; three grandsons, Chad Felts, Jeremy Smith, and Cameron Smith; one granddaughter, Stacey Pruitt; and three brothers, Terrell Thompson, Perry Thompson, and Clate Thompson.
The family would like to extend a very warm thank you to Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center and Compass Hospice for all the love and care they provided Francine with in her last few months.
Pallbearers will be Chylynn Pardue, John Linden, Jerry Currie, Jared Pruitt, Larry Cathey, and David Owens.
