Gilbert Aguilar, 48, of Big Spring passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at his residence. A vigil service was held at 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. ?|
He was born August 12, 1967, to Amelia Miramontes Aguilar and Raul Aguilar in Big Spring. He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and was Catholic.
Gilbert was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved football. He enjoyed fishing, basketball, and listening to music.
?Gilbert is survived by one daughter, Chelsea Aguilar of Big Spring; two sons, Gage Aguilar of New Mexico and William Aguilar of Lubbock; his mother, Amelia Aguilar of Big Spring; five sisters, Gloria A. Garza, Jo Ann Torres, Diane Valencia Sanchez and husband Leondro, and Yvonne Aguilar, all of Big Spring, and Belinda Chartier of Fort Worth; five brothers, Robert Aguilar Sr. and wife Angelina, Raul Aguilar and wife Christy, Andrew Aguilar, Gabriel Aguilar and wife Rachel, Edward Aguilar and wife Patricia; and numerous nieces and nephews.?
He was preceded in death by his father, Raul Aguilar, on March 20, 2012, and one niece, Emily Gomez.
