Jenny Thomas, 61, of Big Spring passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Lubbock Health Care Center in Lubbock. A gathering and meal was held Saturday, July 9, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Eagles Lodge for family and friends. |
She was born July 25, 1954, to Virginia Lee Trevathan Murley and Joseph Jack Murley in Denison, Texas. She married Bruce Thomas on December 31, 1976, in Big Spring. He preceded her in death March 5, 2012. Jenny was a homemaker. She enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers, reading, watching old movies, and all animals. She especially loved time with family and friends.
Jenny is survived by two sons, Dan Thomas and wife Melissa of Big Spring, and Mike Thomas and wife Stacy of San Angelo; three grandchildren, Zach Thomas of San Angelo, Mallory Thomas and Josh Thomas, both of Big Spring, and one on the way; two brothers, Danny Murley and wife Joyce of Hico, and Joey Murley of Big Spring; three sisters, Annie Seay and husband James of Dallas, Teresa Hodnett and husband Dean of Greenwood, and Ramona Michaels and husband Rick of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews, including a very close niece, Lisa Marshall; and two very close friends, Pat Hooser and Melanie Ussery.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by on granddaughter: Lexie Thomas.
