He was born November 19, 1965, in Big Spring, Texas. He worked as a registered nurse for several years in critical care units. It was his true passion to help others, and if you asked anyone, he was one of the best nurses they knew. David could fix anything and build anything you asked with his bare hands. He loved to hunt, golf, rope steers and tell stories. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for anybody. They say you have to live before you can die, and no one would have ever said he didn't live.
Survivors include three daughters, Kalea Neff and Savannah Neff, both of Coahoma, and Angelina Neff of Odessa; one son, Matthew Neff of Odessa; his parents, Dr. Joe and Sue Neff of Big Spring; one brother, Dr. Bryan Neff and wife, Laurie ,and their children, Cale, Ty and Zane, all of Bandera; and two uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Garrett of Coahoma and Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Neff of Colorado City; and many aunts and uncles, including his uncle, W. L. Neff, Jr., who was one of the most highly decorated soldiers in World War II.
