Jose Dolores Holguin Granillo, 56, passed away Saturday Feb. 6, 2016 at Casa Arena Blanca Nursing Center in Alamogordo.|
Visitation will begin Thursday afternoon Feb. 11, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Baca's Funeral Chapel where a prayer vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m. to be led by Fr. Ron Machado, Pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church. Cremation will be take place at Baca's Mimbres Crematory.
Jose was born March 30, 1959 in Deming to Pedro Granillo Carbajal and Crisostoma Holguin. He was a longtime Deming resident coming from Big Spring, Texas. Jose was an automotive mechanic for many years. Jose did a lot of mechanic favors for all his family throughout the years and loved to cook and read. He also would make copper wire scorpions and sell them as his pastime. He made friends easily and was well liked.
Jose is survived by father Pedro Granillo Carbajal and stepmother Estela Q. Granillo of Deming; son Joseph Martinez of Big Spring, Texas; daughters, Christina Martinez of Big Spring and Crystal (Noe) Blanco of El Paso, Texas; brother, Gilbert Granillo (Sandra) of Deming; sister, Germina Granillo (Alfonso Marrufo) of El Paso; seven grandchildren, Sarah Martinez, Carlos and Marcos Paredez of Big Spring, Trinity, Noelani and Noe IV Blanco of El Paso and Tayven Martinez of Big Spring.
He is preceded in death by his mother Crisostoma H. Granillo; four brothers, Tony, Jr., Lupe and Ricky Granillo; four sisters Nelly, Margaret, Lorenza Granillo and Maria Altamirano.
