Keith Allen Whiteside, 70, of Big Spring, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 in a Midland Care Center. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at Myers & Smith Chapel.|
Keith was born May 23, 1944, in Beatrice, Neb., to Kenneth and Opal Whiteside. Keith was raised in Rankin, Texas, and was a graduate of Rankin High School. Keith was a pumper for Conoco for 25 years, retiring in 1995.
He met and married Debbie Teague from Lamesa, on March 11, 1995. Together they formed a family of five children who include Tiffany Vick and husband, Scott, of Hurst, Sheila Brown and husband, Fred Jr., of Seminole, Jeff Whiteside and wife, Staci ,of Anna, Dustin Whiteside and wife, Connie, of Irving and Dewayne Teague and wife, Wendy, of Keller.
He is also survived by two grandsons, Tanner Vick and wife, Jennifer, and new baby girl, Everly Elizabeth, of Dallas; and Tristane Vick and wife ,Jessica, and new baby girl. Lucy Grace Vick, of Frisco; two granddaughters, KeLee Teague and Tiensee Lucas Gibson of Keller and Allee Teague of Keller; two brothers, Kirk Whiteside and wife, Gean ,of Novato, Calif., and Larry Whiteside and companion Scharee of Durango, Colo.; three "neighborhood grandchildren," Laila Hoover and sister, Kaie Kirkham, of Big Spring and Kandyce Islas of Midland; two "neighborhood grandsons," Kaleb Islas of Midland and Brayden Islas of San Antonio; special friends, Terry Wright, Fred White, Ted Early, Randal Crouch, David Howller, Louis Baker, Paul George, Buddy Alexander; the love of his life, Debbie; and his K9 companions, Lady Bug and Tiny Tiger.
