Kenneth Wayne Barfield, 64, of Big Spring died Sunday, August 02, 2015, at his residence. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Trinity Memorial Park with Randy Cotton, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating.|
He was born Nov. 24, 1950, in Dumas, Texas to Zaola and Paul Barfield. He moved to Big Spring in 1953 from Dumas. He married Linda Shuffield on July 28, 1972, in Lovington, N.M. He was warehouse manager for Saunders Company, later Morrison's for 43 years, retiring on Jan. 7, 2015, due to ill health. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
His favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting, and the rodeo, His favorite teams were the Texas Rangers, and Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Barfield of Big Spring; two daughters, Carrie Blythe and her husband Greg of Glen Rose, and Lindsey Richters and her husband Rickey of Big Spring; five grandchildren, Jared Blythe and his wife Ashley, Kelsey Allen, Kacee Allen, Kristin Allen and Braxton Richters; one great grandchild, Easton Mitchell; and two sisters, Janis Neighbors and Viola Salvato.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Larry Alexander, rickey Richters, Greg Blythe, Jared Blythe, Johnny Flores, and Perry Gamble.
