Martina Moron, 86, of Brazil, Ind., formerly of Coahoma, passed away peacefully at home with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren May 28, 2015.|
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at the Coahoma Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Martina was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Buda, Texas. She lived the majority of her life in Coahoma with her husband of 50 years, Felipe Moron, who preceded her in death August 21, 2002.
She was a homemaker all her life, raising nine children. She loved sewing and making blankets for all of her family.
Martina is survived by four sons, Joe Moran and wife, Amalia, Fred Moron and wife, Maggie, Clem Moran and wife, Sherry, and Felipe Moran Jr.; five daughters, Anita De La Cerda and husband, John, Lynn Young and husband, Dean, Beatrice Deakins and husband, Max, Olga Strassler and husband, Adam, and Gloria Checki and husband, Dave; grandchildren, Juan, Veronica, Michael, Jimmy, Phillip, Mandy, Anthony, Deana, Christina, Jennifer, Brandy, Liam, Connor and Amber; and great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kinzlee, Jaxon, Oliver, Michael, Kaden, Shayleigh, Constance, Yurik, Isabella, Josiah and Malachi.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Lorenza (Fabela) Ramirez; one brother, Luis Ramirez; and one sister, Chavella Ramirez.
The family suggests memorials be made to the donor's favorite charity.
