Mary "Nanny" Ramos passed away, Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Stanton, at the age of 90.|
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 23, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stanton. A funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Stanton.
She was born Sept. 12, 1924 in San Antonio to Pedro and Modesta Estrada. She married Joe Ramos, Jan. 1, 1950, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stanton.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Mary Flores and husband, Tony, of Houston and Patty Ramos of Stanton; grandchildren, Jeff Doyle of Tomball, Libby Manley and husband, Jose. of Asheville, N.C., Krissy Villa Lopez of Stanton and Gracie Smith and husband, Will, of Stanton. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Ashley Hall, Austin Doyle, Isaac Manley, Israel Manley, James X. Villa, Jose "Chito" Lopez, Jozalyn Lopez, Juli Lopez, Kedi Baeza, Ami Baeza and Andy Baeza.
Other survivors include three sisters, Bessie Estrada of Midland, Francis McCann and Lupe Chronister, both of Pearland.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ramos, her parents and seven brothers; Merce, Shorty, Carmen, Conde, Augustine, Emilio, and Tanis.
