Melinda Melie Garcia, 49, of Big Spring was born July 25, 1966, in Big Spring. She passed from this life Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at 1:35 p.m. in Midland Memorial Hospital. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.|
She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and had worked at Walls Industries, Wal-Mart and Pizza Hut. She also did daycare. She loved shopping at Wal-Mart, going to garage sales and decorating her home for the holidays. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Mina and Tin Garcia of Big Spring; father, Salvador Garcia Sr. of Big Spring; one brother and sister-in-law, Salvador Garcia Jr. and his wife Anita; two nephews, Jacob Garcia and Salvador Garcia, III, both of Big Spring; two nieces, Monica Garcia and Zoei Garcia, both of Big Spring; one great niece, Maylee Garcia of Big Spring; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She had a love for all children in her care, but especially "Little Daniel."
