Ms. Mona Green, 50 of Big Spring, Texas, formerly of Snyder, Texas passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016.|
Memorial Services for Ms. Green will be held on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 , at 4:30 p.m. at College Baptist Church, Big Spring with the Rev. Kelvin Kelley officiating and assisted by Rev. Ken Mc Means and Rev. Raymond Duncan. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Ms. Green was born on Dec. 20, 1965 in Snyder, Texas to Ervin "Sonny" and Virgie Mae (Brown) Green. She was a 1984 graduate of Snyder High School, where she actively participated in volleyball and band. After graduation, she attended Western Texas College and worked for Scurry County Library for two years. She then attended Angelo State University, receiving her bachelor of business administration degree. She worked and managed Sherman-Williams for ten years, then returned to UTPB earning her teaching certificate. She has been with the Big Spring ISD for 14 years, teaching 5th grade reading.
She is survived by a sister, Vicki Green and Jeremy Mize Sr. of Big Spring; son, Vaughn Avery Green of Big Spring; special friends, Will and Melissa Miller and children, Cooper and Maddie, all of Big Spring, and Cindy Spires of Snyder, Texas; niece, Valori Mize and nephew, Jeremy C. Mize Jr., both of Big Spring; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends along with a host of student scholars.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
