Nellie "Lou" Darden, 82, of Big Spring died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park.|
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.
She was born May 9, 1933, in Tucson, Ariz., and married G.A. Darden April 19, 1972, in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death Sept. 20, 2000.
Lou was a longtime resident of Big Spring. She was a homemaker, enjoyed working in her yard and loved being with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include two daughters, Claudia Darden of Big Spring and Denise Davis and husband Lonnie of Elk City, Okla.; two sons, Kenny Davis and wife, Tami of Big Spring and Bobby Davis and wife, Tonya of Austin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Wayne Trantham and wife, Joan.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
