Pablo "Paul" Tovar Obituary
Pablo "Paul" Tovar, 69, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 at his residence. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Burial with military honors will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

He was born Sept. 4, 1945, in Buda, Texas to Emilia and Juan Tovar. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served in Vietnam. He had been a truck driver for Price Construction and had also worked for Union Pacific.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Tovar of Big Spring; three step-daughters, Mary Helen Perez, Belinda Wright, and Michelle Ann Perez, all of San Antonio; four sisters, Felica Torres and her husband Carlos of Los Angeles, Diane Chavez of Big Spring, Guadalupe Martinez and her husband Kenneth Sr. of Los Angeles and Petra Tovar of San Antonio; one brother, Fidel Tovar of Pasadena; seven step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Tovar and John Tovar; and one sister, San Juana "Janie" Tovar.
