Shawntina Marie "Shot" Thorpe, 47, of Big Spring died Saturday, March 28, 2015. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. tonight at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel, with Dr. Doug Shelley, pastor of East Side Baptist Church, officiating.|
She was born June 2, 1967 to Mary (Thomas) and Don Thorpe in Big Spring. She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and was free-spirited, great-natured, and never met a stranger. Her hobbies included painting, woodworking, yard work, hunting, fishing and camping. She worked a few years repairing cars for Buddy and Sons Body Shop and was a member of Assembly of God.
She is survived by one daughter, Autumn Marie Munoz and husband Josh Sweet of Austin; two sons, Christopher Lee Munoz of Austin and Sean Lee Munoz of Carlsbad; one granddaughter, Madison; her mother, Mary Thomas and husband Bob of San Angelo; one sister, Tonya Thorpe Bosier of San Angelo; one brother, Don DeWayne Thorpe of Reno, Nev.; cousins, Jimmy Pierce and spouse Kellie Hankins of Big Spring and Lisa Pierce Dyer of Aransas Pass; one nephew, Clyde W Raines Jr. (Skeeter) of Denver, Colo.; one niece, Elizabeth Grado of Las Cruces N.M.; and several aunts and uncles, but one special aunt, "Dot".
She was preceded in death by her daddy, Don Thorpe; paternal grandfather, E.B. Robby Thorpe, maternal grandparents, Ora Marie Hill and Ross R Hill; and several aunts and uncles.
