Stanford Muse Obituary
Stanford Muse, 91, of Big Spring, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. He will lie in state at Myers & Smith Funeral Home Wednesday and Thursday. Graveside services with military honors will be at 11 a.m. March 2, 2015, at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

He was born Feb. 17, 1924, in Bluefield, W.Va. to Melinda and Leonard Muse. He was a veteran of the United Sates Army Air Corps, entering on Feb. 26, 1943, and was discharged on Jan. 18, 1946. He served in the Pacific Theater and received 3 Bronze Service Stars and was with the 25th Infantry, 93rd Division.

He has been a resident of Howard County and Big Spring for more than 70 years. He worked on construction of the Veterans Administration Medical Center and then worked there for more than 42 years. He was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived by one nephew, Clinton A. Muse Jr. of Big Spring and one great-nephew, Arthur Muse, also of Big Spring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mineola Muse; and one brother, Clinton Muse Sr.
