Theresa Flores Hodnett, 64, of Big Spring, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, in a Lubbock hospital. Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Big Spring. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.|
Theresa Flores Hodnett was born Sept. 8, 1951, in Colorado City, Texas and was married to Don Hodnett. She received her associate's degree from Howard College and was a homemaker, but through the years had worked at Dairy Queen, Safeway, Big Spring Reality, WalMart and Marcy Elementary. Theresa was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and a blessed sister and true friend. She was an excellent cook and loved treating people with her baked goods. She crocheted beautiful blankets for all her special children. She loved to go to casinos and using her winnings to benefit others.
Theresa is survived by her husband, Don Hodnett; and son, James Hodnett; two precious granddaughters, Destiny Hodnett and Jade Hodnett, both of Big Spring; four sisters, Eloise Lyons of Abilene, Mary Reyes and Josie Gillilan, both of Colorado City, and Lupe Rowland of Big Spring; and many loving nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Simona Flores; sister, Nellie Jordan; and brother, Raymond Flores.
Pallbearers will be Michael Flores, Freddie Castillo, Gilbert Flores, Chris Chaney, Simon Reyes and Ken Lyons. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Selvera Jr., Jesse Selvera and Ralph Castillo .
