Victoria May Moore, 84 of Bastrop, Texas, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015. |
Victoria was born May 24, 1930, in Toronto, Canada to Albert and Jessie Jackson. She graduated from nursing school as an registered nurse from Toronto East General Hospital in 1951 and then continued her nursing career in Big Spring, Texas at Malone & Hogan Hospital for more than 30 years. She became a United States citizen in 1960.
She spent her lifetime caring for others. She also loved sewing, gardening, and caring for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Smith; stepdaughters, Melody and Darja Moore; and stepson, Gary Moore.
She is survived by her daughter, Vikki-Jene Estes son-in-law Jeff Estes; grandsons, Jackson and David Estes; granddaughter, Grace Estes; and special friends, Ray and Carolyn Estes.
Visitation was 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Fairview Cemetery.
