Walter P. Hildreth, Jr., 87, of Lenorah, went home to be the Lord, Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 at his residence. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton.|
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 at the Gilbreath Funeral Home.
Walter was born Jan. 11, 1928 in Big Spring, to Walter Sr. and Aetna May Hildreth. He married Jean Anderson, Nov. 3, 1952 in Hobbs, N.M. He was a United States Air Force veteran serving in World War II and was a long time resident of Lenorah. He worked at the Lenorah gin for 40 years and the Martin County Fresh Water District for 26 years.
Walter is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Hildreth; one son, Robert P. Hildreth and wife, Trisha; two daughters, Debbie McMurry and husband, Teddy, and Kimberly Decker-Welch and husband, Cord; six grand-children; four great-grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters,
