William C. "Bill" Fee Obituary
William C. "Bill" Fee, 69, of Big Spring passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at Myers and Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, at Myers and Smith Chapel with Doug Shelley, pastor of East Side Baptist Church, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Bill was born March 17, 1947, in Harlin County, Kentucky, to Geneva Ledford Fee and Joe Fee. He grew up in Kentucky. He entered the United States Army on April 16, 1970, and was discharged on April 15, 1976. He served in Vietnam and received the following medals while serving his country: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Bronze Star medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and a Purple Heart. Bill was the only survivor from his unit. He married Reta Chapman on Aug. 25, 1968, in Spur, Texas, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 8, 2009. He enjoyed fishing in his earlier years. He and his wife Reta moved to Big Spring in 2004 from Monument, N.M.. They pastored churches in New Mexico, Colorado, Kentucky and Texas. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Bill Fee and wife Michelle of South Carolina, Josh Fee and wife Dawn of San Angelo, and Joe Fee and wife Karen of Big Spring; two daughters, LeaAnn McDaniel and husband Brandon of New Mexico, and Carla Allen and husband Jarek of Joshua, Texas; one brother, Rodney Fee of Indiana; one sister, Carolyn Davis also of Indiana; 14 grandchildren, William Fee "Big Guy", Cheyenne Fee, Lauren Fee, Christian Fee, Meagan Baker, Jayton Fee, Jackson Fee, Leah Fee, Aubri Allen, Shesta Allen, David McDaniel, Darren McDaniel, Kody Fee, and Kendyl Fee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Reta; his brother, Bob Fee; and two sisters, Verna Lou Fee and Eva Jo Fee.
Pallbearers will be Kody Fee, William Fee, Jackson Fee, Jarek Allen, Bo Blackwood, and Brandon McDaniel.
