NORMA MILLS OLIVER

OLIVER, NORMA MILLS , went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was 95 years old and had been a resident at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab Center, Hanceville, Al for several years. She is survived by her daughter Cathy Oliver Sills (Milton), Trussville, Al, her son Ernie Oliver (Marlene), Houston, Al; Grandaughters Rachel Sills, Montevallo, Al; Deidre Oliver Nix (Brandon), Nashville, Tn; and Daphne Oliver Boughton (Thaddeus), Muscle Shoals, Al. She was preceded in death by her husband Thaddeus Ernest Oliver; her parents Luther Ernest and Lillie Etta Mills; brothers Mozell Mills, Byron Mills and Raymond Mills; sisters Murel Mills, Sarah Mills MacDonald and Reba Mills Simmons. Norma was retired from the Birmingham Public Library and was a member of East Lake United Methodist Church in Birmingham. Norma was a former pianist for Saint Paul's United Methodist Church in Center Point, AL. There will be a visitation at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, on Monday, April 8, 2013, from 5 until 7 pm. The graveside service and burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Archer, Florida, on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
