FUQUAY VARINA— Nina Moseley, born Oct. 25, 1927 in Warrenton, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at Wake Medical Center in Cary.
She was the daughter of Charles Frederick and Nancy Peters Sanders Jones Moseley and a graduate of John Graham High School in Warrenton and the Pharmacy School of The University of NC at Chapel Hill class of 1950.
She practiced pharmacy in Warrenton at Hunter Drug Company as well as in Raleigh until 1957 when she accepted a position as a civilian employee with the Department of the US Army. She served in Europe, Japan, Korea, Washington, DC, Richmond, VA, and Fort Eustis, VA before retiring in 1987.
She lived for two years in New Bern before returning to Warrenton in 1989; she then moved to Caswell Beach in 1999. She was at various times a member of Emmanuel Church in Warrenton and Grace Church in Yorktown, VA. After a brief return to Warrenton, she moved to Windsor Point Retirement Community in Fuquay Varina in 2010.
Nina is survived by six nieces and two nephews, several grand-nieces, grand-nephews and great-grand-nieces and nephews. She was a uniquely gifted individual who won many loyal friends over her lifetime who will miss her southern charm and quick wit.
A celebration of her life will be held in Warrenton at Emmanuel Church, 127 N. Main Street, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in the Moseley family plot at a date and time to be announced.
