FLAT ROCK–Judy L. Gunter, 67, of Flat Rock passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 at Elizabeth House after a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late James and Betty Lawrence. Judy worked for the Henderson County Public Schools for twenty-nine years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of Bethel Wesleyan Church, and was a loving wife, mother, and Nanna.
Survivors include her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Charles Gunter; a daughter, Ashley Davis and her husband Ricky; a son, Sharrod Gunter and his wife Stacey; three grandchildren, Kaylie Davis, Caroline and Easton Gunter; a sister, Linda Bailey and her husband Kenneth, all of Flat Rock; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Monday at Bethel Wesleyan Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Sunday at Shuler Funeral Home.
