Frank Thomas "Junior" Galloway

ETOWAH-Frank Thomas "Junior" Galloway, Jr., 72, of Etowah, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Elizabeth House in East Flat Rock.
A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Frank Thomas Galloway, Sr. and Lillie Mae Crain Galloway. Mr. Galloway is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ralph Galloway and Bill Galloway; and sister, Mary Frances "Frankie" Rice.
Mr. Galloway served our country in the United States Navy, and later retired from Moland Drysdale Co. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Galloway had a big heart, especially for his family and grandchildren, and was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Virginia Gail West Galloway of the home; sons, Steve Galloway, Stan Galloway, and Stacy and his wife April Galloway all of Etowah; brothers, Paul and his wife Barbara Galloway, and Harold Galloway all of Etowah; sisters, Ella Murphy of Candler, and Wilma Guice of East Flat Rock; and cherished grandchildren, Cole and Kayla Galloway.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 20 at Boyston Baptist Church in Mills River with the Rev. Jimmy Burris officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock for their superior care.
