Kenneth Webster "Ken" Redden

HENDERSONVILLE - Mr. Kenneth "Ken" Webster Redden, 80, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2013.
Born in Hendersonville February 13, 1933 to his parents, Quay A. Redden and Ruby A. Roller, Ken went to Flat Rock High School and married Shirley Ann Bridgeman in 1953. Ken served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955, and at the time of his death was employed by the Henderson County Inspection Department for over 30 years. He was also an active member of Main Street Baptist Church where he served in numerous Capacities.
In addition, to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Quay A. Redden. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley A. Redden, his sons Michael W. Redden and his wife Terri of Burgaw, NC, Kenneth Todd Redden and his wife Cheryl of Charlotte, NC and Scott Alexander Redden of the home, 6 Grandchildren, and a sister, Jeanette D. Corn and husband Albert.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, May 27, 2013 at Main Street Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Magnet and Dr. Victor Rampey officiating. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Home.
