ASHEVILLE-Charles A. Clemons, 88, of Asheville died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at his home in the Deerfield Retirement Community. He was born in Rawlins, WY on January 25, 1925 to the late Judge Charles H. and Mathilde S. Clemons. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara H. Clemons; and brother, William Clemons.

He was a graduate of Montesano High School, Montesano, WA, received a BS degree from the University of Washington and a MBA from Stanford University. He retired from the PPG Industries, Pittsburgh, PA. in 1990. Mr. Clemons served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He is survived by his son, Charles H. Clemons and his wife Sue of West Lafayette, IN; daughter, Joan C. Price of Washington DC; four grandchildren, Daniel Clemons, Allison Clemons, Alex Price, Henry Price; one great-grandchild, Mirra Clemons; and his sister, Patricia A. Clemons.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, June 28, 2013 in the St. Giles Chapel at Deerfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the North Carolina Arboretum Society, 100 Fredrick Law Olmstead Way Asheville, NC 28806.
