HENDERSONVILLE- Nancy Noel Bohan, 81, a longtime resident of Hendersonville, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at her residence in Candler.
Nancy was born December 25, 1931 in Evanston, IL to Edward Caps and Cornelia Alberta Stevenson Caps. She was a graduate of UCLA, and throughout her life she was a teacher, administrative assistant, and a homemaker. She was an avid reader and a life-long learner. She is predeceased by her parents as well as her sister, Jacqueline Caps Lech.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James A. Bohan, Jr. of Candler, NC; sons, Mark Bohan (Kathy) of South Burlington, VT, and Michael Bohan (Suzanne) of Arlington, TX; daughters, Eileen Bohan of Truth or Consequences, NM, and Jacqueline Bohan Cutler (Peter) of Candler; brother, Thomas Caps (Sue) of Bainbridge Island, WA; and grandchildren, Maria Bohan Haddon; Andrew, Thomas and Sarah Cutler; and Natalie and Alexandra Bohan.
A memorial service will be held at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel on Friday, May 17th at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nancy's favorite charities: Food for the Poor or Samaritan's Purse. Nancy was loved by many.
