Barbara Grace (Kuhn) Yarbrough Obituary
Barbara Grace (Kuhn) Yarbrough, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to all who knew her, passed away Friday, Jan. 15, 2016. Born July 12, 1938, to Frederick G. and Helen E. (Mozingo) Kuhn in Shelbyville, IN. Graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1956 and from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis, IN in 1959.
Married Claude M. Yarbrough Jan 26, 1962; they have one daughter Linda Anne. Moved to North Carolina in 1968. She had a life-long career as a registered nurse in Indiana and N. Carolina, specializing in Home Health Care and Maternal/ Child Health in Iredell and Wake Counties; retired in 2001.
Enjoyed gardening, cooking for and spending time with family and friends, and singing in the Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church choir. Barbara had a love for animals and for tending the church garden. Everyone who knew her loved her sweet spirit and delightful sense of humor.
Predeceased by: parents and brother, Frederick Kuhn, Jr. Barbara and Claude have most recently resided in Hendersonville, NC.
Survived by: husband, Claude, daughter, Linda Yarbrough Thaxton and husband Clay, Clay's brother Douglas, (both of whom she dearly loved), sister, Anne Moore and numerous other family members and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 at Shuler Funeral Home in Hendersonville, NC.
Family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to service. Service will be conducted by nephew, Pastor Christopher Moore.
