HENDERSONVILLE-Cheryl Clemens, 68, died suddenly and peacefully on June 12, 2013 at home after a struggle with cancer. She was born on November 30, 1944 in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late, Arthur Zebedee and Lucille Eileen McDonald.

At a young age Cheryl loved horseback riding and always had a strong passion for living life. Cheryl graduated from Groves High School and received her bachelor's degree from Albion College and her master's degree from Oakland University.
In 1984, Cheryl met the love of her life, Howard Clemens. They left their teaching jobs in south Florida to start their lives together in the mountains of North Carolina. They ran and operated a family business together for over 29 years.
Cheryl had a passion for the Lord and an unconditional love for her children. She also had a passion for the people in Mexico where she spent over 10 years doing mission work. Cheryl was a member of Vision Jesus.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Clemens; her three children, Tiffany Clemens, Kristen Clemens, AJ Clemens; her "adopted" daughter, Leila Sydykova and many other close friends. Not only close by but friends of her heart in Mexico.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Vision Jesus with Reverend Mauricio Mercado officiating. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00PM until 9:00PM on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the funeral home.
