1918 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
HENDERSONVILLE-Edna Kunde Warner, 94, of Hendersonville, NC passed away on August 8, 2013. She was born on October 13, 1918 in Winner, SD to Edward C. and Regina H. Kunde and moved to Florida in her early childhood. She graduated in 1939 from Florida State College for Women, after which she moved to Crescent City to begin her teaching career. There she met Stanley E. Warner and they married in June of 1940. She taught high school there for 34 years and in 1971 she was named Putnam County Teacher of the Year. She and Stanley were devoted members of the First Presbyterian Church of Crescent City for over 50 years. She was always positive and gracious, and never met a stranger. She was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son Berger (Cindy) of Ocala, FL, daughter Karen (Ron) Garcia of Hendersonville, NC, grandchildren Whitney (John) Henry, Becca (Cody) Jellis, Courtney Garcia, and Ronnie Garcia, and great grandchildren Harper and Grant Henry. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Stanley, son Stan Jr., and brothers Duane and Ivan (her twin) Kunde.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church of Crescent City at 11:00am with a reception to follow in the church fellowship hall.
