HENDERSONVILLE - Furman "Tony" Hoots, 44, of Hendersonville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, after a short stay at Elizabeth House. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Josephine W. Hoots, who died in 2004, and Furman Turner Hoots of Hendersonville.
He worked with Eaton Corporation for over 15 years, and was a member of Refuge Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, survivors include a brother, Mark Hoots and his wife Jennifer, of Hendersonville, and two nephews, Turner and Adam Hoots, both of Hendersonville.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The Rev. Craig Stepp will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel.
