Galileo U. Osteen
Galileo U. Osteen, 96, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord on August the 11th 2018 while recovering from a brief illness. He was the son of the late, Kimsey Osteen and Nona Osteen and was also preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute. He retired from Cranston Print Works where he served as his local chapter Chaplain. He spent the majority of his retirement years ministering to hospital and rest home patients, shut-ins, and also served as a chaplain for his church.
Galileo was a loving man who dedicated his life to praying and caring for others. He loved God, his family, and his church. He would always say how blessed he was to have such a wonderful wife and family.
Galileo is survived by a loving wife of 67 years, Eva Levi Osteen, daughter, Sheila Osteen Burgess and husband Kenneth, son, Carroll Osteen and wife Lyn, daughter, Elaine Osteen Anderson and son-in-law QP Anderson, grand-children, Kylie Burgess Corn, Tera Burgess, Amber Anderson Holbert, Tori Burgess King, Chad Anderson, Brent Rhodarmer, Zackary Rhodarmer, Jacob Rhodarmer, eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Au-gust 15th, 2018 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00 at the church.
