Mr. Henry W. Sharpe, Jr., 69, of Hendersonville, NC and a once and forever proud "Valley Boy" also known to his many friends and family as "Sonny and Bird", beloved husband of thirty absolute and in his own words, "wonderful years", to Elaine Lewis Sharpe, received his divine healing on Friday, May 25, 2018. In addition to his best friend, his wife Elaine and parents, family members include sons, Henry W. "Treye" Sharpe, III and Philip Ryan Sharpe and his wife, Tammy, sister, Susan Giacobone, grandchildren, Amanda Chase Sanders, Kimberly Elizabeth Sharpe and Noah Brett Sharpe, great-grandchildren, Paisley Ann and the late Hazel Emmette Grace Hallman, who he is now holding, mother-in-law, Anne Lewis, sisters-in-law, Lee Lewis and her husband, Paul and Lynda Lewis and her husband, Thomas and brother-in-law, Tom Lewis and his wife, Ann. He also has several beloved cousins. The family will greet friends on Saturday, June 9, 2018, beginning at 11 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1 o'clock in the chapel. Pastors Dexter Lambert and Gene Brown will officiate. Following the service Henry will be escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders to Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC, for inurnment. Veterans Honors will be accorded by a United States Army Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers will be Clyde Harkins, Milton Maroney, Ron Gregory and Phillip Pridgen. Members of the L.B.C. class of 1967 will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The loving care provided to Henry and Elaine by the team at the Elizabeth House is greatly appreciated.
