HENDERSONVILLE-Mae Bell Bishop Hill, 99, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Elizabeth House.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. The daughter of the late Collie "J.C." Bishop and Lillie Mae Staton Bishop, she was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence R. Hill, three sisters, Juno Morrison, Kathleen Wilson and Haven Hice and two brothers, Sam Bishop and Ricks Bishop.
She was a member of 2001 Baptist Church, was a seamstress and had worked at Ruth of The Carolinas.
She is survived by four nephews Larry Bishop (Martha), L.C. Wilson(Kay), Denny Hice (Vicki) all of Hendersonville and Lenus Morrison (Nancy) of Lenoir, NC; 5 nieces, Betty Hill, Shelba Jones, Barbara Medford (Jim), Linda Justus (Sam) all of Hendersonville and Elsie Duncan of Hudson, NC and many great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Chapel In The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with Rev. Lloyd Morgan and Rev. Bill Brackett officiating. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elizabeth House, 581 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
