Obituary Condolences

HENDERSONVILLE-Mae Huntley passed into Heaven on April 3, 2014 at Mountain View Assisted Living. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She will be buried beside her husband, George W. Huntley in the family cemetery above the old home place on Middlefork Road.
She is survived three daughters, Joanne Ownbey, Gail McCarson and Shirley Malone, seven grandsons, Rusty David Brevard, Tracy Paul Brevard, Joe S. Praytor, Jr., Randall Claude Praytor, Douglas Everette Praytor, Joseph Brian McCarson and Eugene E. Carmack, Jr., three granddaughters, Vannessa Livingston, Joyce Lee Martin and Debroah Elmore, plus many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Cora Taylor Stewart, two husbands, George W. Huntley and Ural C. Brevard, a daughter, Joyce Duncan, a son, David H. Brevard, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Jane Tracy, a sister, Ann Brookman, and two brothers, Paul and Joe Stewart.
She was born in Henderson County to Charles and Cora Taylor Stewart on July 24, 1921.
Mae was a certified welder for the US Naval Yard in Norfolk, Virginia during WW II. She also worked for the Birds Eye Factory in Nampa, Idaho, Ruth Originals, Youngstown Aluminum and Taylor Instruments before retiring in 1977.
