Obituary Condolences

SALUDA-Martha May Seay Hardin, 83, of Saluda died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Universal Healthcare in Fletcher. She was daughter of the late James Barney Seay and Margaret Jesse Southers. Martha was also predeceased by Kathleen Kirby, Ruth Adams, Margaret Harp and James, Max, Richard, Robert and Patty Seay and Mary Seay Naccarato.
Martha was a lifelong native of Polk County. She was a Charter member of the Saluda United Methodist. Martha also travelled throughout the United States and Canada on the Women's AAU Basketball team in 1952-1954. The team was sponsored by Hanes Hosiery out of Winston-Salem. She also played AAU Softball.
Martha is survived by her daughter Terry Hardin Smith and her husband Randy of Saluda, her sons Mark E. Hardin and his wife Cindy of Boiling Springs, SC and Christopher R. Hardin and his wife Beth of Charleston, SC, her 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Martha is also survived by 2 brothers Ryal Seay and his wife Joan of West Virginia and Donnie Seay and his wife Addie of MN, her sister-in-law, June Seay of Virginia, her brother-in-law, Anthony Naccarato of Virginia, sister-In-law, Carolyn J. Hardin of Hendersonville, brother-in-law James R. Hardin and wife Lynn of Louisiana, brother-in law Charles W. Hardin and wife Bennie of Hendersonville and numerous nieces and nephews on both the Seay and Hardin sides.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M Friday, February 20, 2015 at Thos. Shepherd Church Street Chapel. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saluda United Methodist Church 153 Greenville St., Saluda, NC 28773.
