Obituary Condolences

FLETCHER-Raymon H. Tatham, age 87, of Fletcher died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Elizabeth House. He was born in Haywood County on October 6, 1927 to the late Henry and Victoria Nations Tatham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Dills Tatham in 1994.
Mr. Tatham retired from Southern Railways after 40 years of employment and was also a retired dairy farmer. He owned and operated the Old Milk Barn Antique store in Fletcher for many years. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Merchant Marines.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca T. and Reverend Robert Anderson; his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lucia Tatham; nine grandchildren, Chris Schauer, Erin Stinson, Jason Schauer, Bob Anderson, Tom Anderson, Katie June, David Anderson, Kayla Tatham, Zachary Tatham; four great-grandchildren, Thomas Stinson, Lily Stinson, Jacob Schauer, Dylan Schauer; his brother, Olen Tatham; and his three sisters, Bettie Thompson, Nettie Broyles, and Mary Lou Warrick.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 in Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel with Reverend Robert Anderson officiating. Burial will follow the service in Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Raymon's memory be directed to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 S. Allen Road Flat Rock, NC 28731.
